Growing up, the women in my life (my mom, aunt, and grandmother) told me not to wear white bottoms and shoes after Labor Day and before Easter. Therefore, for the past 22 years I haven’t worn white during those times. More recently, I made the decision that I wasn’t going to follow that fashion rule anymore, (I pretty much still follow it, I just break it sometimes) because apparently I’m a rebel.
These shoes are extremely old, but when I originally bought them they were on sale from one of my favorite stores; Nordstrom. Some would probably say these gold spiked loafers aren’t in style anymore, but I don’t care. I honestly wear and do what I want regardless of what society or current trends say, I encourage you to do the same.
This jacket though. I saw it on my mentor and I knew I needed it in my life. I love a good neutral, especially in a jacket. I have BIG plans for this bad boy, you just wait and see. When I spot items that I’ve had my eye on for a while, I go ahead and buy it so I don’t lose my chance. Seeing items go out of stock legitimately hurts my feelings, because I feel like it can be been avoided. Old Navy always has sales, so I got this jacket 20% off – they have the same deal going now online and in store. I have the exact jacket linked above – you’re welcome.
Before I leave, I have giveaway going on my Instagram! I am giving away a FREE statement necklace from one of my new favorite statement jewelry stores, Cherry Pick. Head over to my Instagram page to enter, contest ends this Friday, March 6th!
