It’s another Work Day Wednesday! YAY!
I have been very anxious and excited to write this post! I love when #WDW comes around and I can offer advice to you all. This post is EXTREMELY important because I am talking suits. Whether male or female, it is imperative that you have a suit in your wardrobe. I highly suggest starting with a black suit and then expanding your color pallet as you see fit.
I know this suit is navy, but this is because I am absolutely obsessed with this suit (and I own a number of other colors already). This bad boy is from Dillard’s made by Antonio Melani. I absolutely LOVE Antonio. Putting ‘LOVE‘ in all caps honestly doesn’t even do him justice. His suits fit perfectly (if you ask my mom, she thinks all the models need to be fired and I need to be hired – RIGHT). Although his suits are a bit pricey, almost all if not most items I’ve bought from his line have been on sale or marked down.
My second favorite place to purchase suits is from Express. Express’ suits and business wear fit me great and the price is a bit more affordable than Antonio. Express frequents BOGO 50% and they often send coupons in the mail. I like having a few solid spots to buy suits so it makes the process easier. I am not implying that you need multiple suits, but finding one, key, solid, suit that you can wear for all occasions that call for a suit is imperative.
You guys would be surprised with how many adult business men and women I know who do not own one suit. It is not about owning the most expensive, extravagant, suit out there (unless you really know your stuff about suits, no one can tell the difference). It is about having a go-to suit that consists of either a blazer and skirt/pant combination that you can call on when you need it most. My mom introduced me to suits right when I grew out of that stage of wearing dresses every Sunday to church. I am sure most of you already have a pant and blazer combo you wear. However, I really feel like there is nothing better and more important than piecing together a suit that was purposely paired together. And a really important tip for my male readers, women LOVE seeing a man in well-tailored suit – no really, ask anyone.
