Today is an exciting day because not only is it Super Bowl Sunday but it’s also the first day of Black History Month (BHM)! The only sad thing about today is that this amazing Old Navy mint coat is no longer in stock on their site. I guess this doesn’t come as much of a surprise since it was only $20. Seems like everyone wanted to get their hands on it. However, I still urge you to visit your local Old Navy to see if they have any hiding on the racks. I love getting coats once winter is almost over because you really can’t beat the price.
I found this necklace when shopping in SoHo, NY earlier this year. This was probably one the most amazing finds ever. This statement necklace was only $13 from Topshop from its original $55. If that’s not a steal, I don’t know what is. When it comes to finding key pieces like these at low prices, timing is everything. Especially since most stores try to clear their racks after New Years to make way for Spring. Knowing this ahead of time makes for a great shopping experience with more money in your pocket at the end of the day.
I don’t necessarily have a team I am rooting for this evening, I am just looking forward to spending time with my family and stuffing my face with food. I will leave a quote in honor of BHM that I heard at church earlier this morning.
“If there is no struggle, there is no progress” – Frederick Douglas
I have always been my toughest critic when it comes to my personal and professional goals. Hearing that quote this morning really motivated me to keep moving forward and realize that it’s okay that I haven’t yet accomplished everything that I’ve set out to do. You have to start at the bottom to make it to the top.
Happy Sunday everyone!
